Lying on a forested slope with views across the Baltic, this house is divided into two sections by a gravel path and the entrance lies between them.
One building can be seen as the ’refectory’ with a kitchen, living room and open fire. Large glazed areas admit morning and evening sunlight and can be opened on to the surrounding timber deck.
The other building contains the bedrooms, bathroom and a television room and faces the forested slope. These rooms are reached by an internal corridor that traces the slope. The bottommost room rises to twice normal height and its mezzanine offers a wonderful “sea view” towards the Baltic.
