New development / student accommodation
in process / Tomteboda, Solna / for Haga Fastigheter
‘Kontrollkontoret’ was built in 1912 to provide offices for Swedish Railways and its elevated position provided an overview of the sidings and marshalling yard at Tomteboda. Currently it is being used as a vocational school by Nackademin. The building is listed as being of special architectural or historic interest.
Haga Fastigheter plans to erect three buildings between ‘Kontrollkontoret’ and Karolinska Institutet’s campus. The facades will be brick to harmonise with the other buildings in the campus. The balconies will screen out noise from road traffic on Essingeleden and from the railway line.
