Radisson Blu Uppsala

New development / completed 2012
Uppsala / for Skanska

The new Radisson Blu hotel and conference facility forms part of the new travel centre in Uppsala. The 175-room hotel will provide the backbone of the semi-circular square that offers entry to the city’s most modern district. The arc-shaped building is elevated on pillars that are five metres tall so that the entire building seems to be floating in the air. The dark stone in the façade has been combined with shining vertical glass slits that recall bookshelves.
